J'adore Pamplamoose

No, not that Pamplamoose.

This Pamplamoose.

I'm talking about the band Pamplamoose, the cute couple who makes cute songs in (what appears to be) their cute house. I first discovered them as guests on TBTL, then went out to find more of their work. They're mainly known for their covers that feature very clever videos of them playing all the instruments (including haunting harmonizations), but they've also been known to branch out into original work as well... INCLUDING a collaboration with Ben Folds and Nick Hornsby. I saw a video of it and it looked pretty great.

Well, I noticed the other day that a few months back they released an album of some of their covers and it is great. Yes, you've probably seen all the songs on youtube in the past, but I still bought the album because I wanted to be able to have it on my iPod. One that I hadn't heard before was their cover of Lady Gaga's Telephone. I really like the original -- it's a clever and catchy pop song, as many of her songs are -- but a lot more bubblegum sweet and bouncy. I also am a big fan of their dance moves.

Here's the original Lady Gaga version:

And here's their cute as can be version.

So yeah, definitely check out their work on iTunes and online. I hope to be seeing more work of theirs in the future.
